The new home of bestselling fiction

Bonnier Zaffre is a new fiction publishing house based in Marylebone, London.

Since our founding in 2014 by CEO Mark Smith, we’ve assembled an expert team of professionals from the world’s largest publishers, including Penguin Random House, Hachette, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster and Quercus. Combining experience with true entrepreneurial spirit, we are proud to be building a successful publishing house from the ground up.

At the heart of our business is ambition – ambition for our authors, our customers and our titles. Since we published our first list in spring 2016, we have quickly earned a reputation for transforming debut authors into bestsellers and introducing established authors to new audiences around the world.

Highlights in our first two years include the international No 1 bestsellers Maestra and Domina by LS Hilton, No 1 Sunday Times bestseller Wilde Like Me, by Louise Pentland, No 2 Sunday Times bestsellers Mothering Sunday by Rosie Goodwin and Good Friday by Lynda La Plante, and Sunday Times Top Ten bestsellers Nomad and Exile from debut thriller writer James Swallow. We have also had 8 Top Ten Amazon Kindle bestsellers this year, including Sweet Little Lies at No 1.

Our brilliant children’s publishing programme includes books from new authors like Sir Chris Hoy, Bear Grylls and Isla Fisher, as well as established writers like Emily Lockhart and Garth Nix.  2018 sees us notch up a gear again as we publish global bestselling author Wilbur Smith for the first time.
