Bonnier Zaffre is a new fiction publishing house based in Marylebone, London.
We are a division of Bonnier Publishing, a major publisher owned by Bonnier Books, a top 15 world publisher with global sales of £724m.
Since our founding in 2014 by CEO Mark Smith, we’ve assembled an expert team of professionals from the world’s largest publishers, including Penguin Random House, Hachette, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster and Quercus. Combining experience with true entrepreneurial spirit, we are proud to be building a successful publishing house from the ground up.
At the heart of our business is ambition – ambition for our authors, our customers and our titles. Since we published our first list in spring 2016, we have quickly earned a reputation for transforming debut authors into bestsellers and introducing established authors to new audiences around the world.

This vibrant children’s imprint was started in 1983 and has published great writers including Jacqueline Wilson and Louise Rennison amongst many others. Since its acquisition by Bonnier Publishing it has continued to go from strength to strength, publishing quality, commercial, family fiction, for ages 5 to 12 years old. We pride ourselves on being totally inclusive, publishing both standalone stories and illustrated series fiction and often books to make the whole family laugh.
Sir Chris Hoy and Isla Fisher are amongst our newer authors who have created successful illustrated fiction such as Flying Fergus and an anarchic babysitter named Marge for 5–8-year-old readers. A young fiction series, the Bear Grylls Adventures, aimed at 5–8 year-olds provides a chance for those who dream of following in Bear’s footsteps to go on an exciting adventure, and learn life skills, facts and information through inspiring stories featuring Bear as he accompanies young adventurers on survival missions.
Memory Lane is our special community for the the very best saga writing from bestselling authors you know and love, such as Rosie Goodwin, Sheila Newberry and Eileen Ramsay, and new ones we simply can’t wait for you to meet! It is also the home of beloved TV show Home Fires, which has returned as a novel in 2017.
